Jason M. Ellison

Jason Ellison is a business and real estate litigation attorney. Mr Ellison advises clients in business and real estate matters, including contract preparation and disputes. He is licensed to practice in all State Courts in the State of Florida as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. His representations have included private and institutional lenders, real estate developers, small and mid-size businesses, commercial landlords, court-appointed receivers, and management companies. Additional areas of practice include foreign judgment domestication, judgment collection, mortgage foreclosure, deficiency judgments, and creditors rights in Bankruptcy. Prior to helping found Ellison Lazenby, Mr. Ellison was a partner at Englander Fischer.

Mr. Ellison is proud to serve on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section where he also serves as co-chair of the Membership & Inclusion Committee. In 2014 Mr. Ellison was also appointed to The Florida Bar's Leadership Academy.

Raised on Florida's Space Coast, Jason is truly a Florida native. Graduating from Stetson University in Deland, Florida, with a degree in Political Science, he was awarded the distinguished honor of Outstanding Senior Research in Political Science for his Senior Thesis, "The Establishment Clause and the Judicial System: Is There Consistency Within the U.S. Judicial System's Decisions Regarding the Establishment Clause and Religious Displays?" After earning his Bachelors degree, Jason earned his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University, College of Law. Jason is a member of Calvary Chapel, St. Petersburg and also coaches T-ball at Calvary Chapel Sports Ministry.

William "Gill" Lazenby

William "Gill" Lazenby focuses his practice on commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. Outside of litigation, he also advises clients on a variety of issues related to business entities and contractual rights spanning from formation to dissolution. His representations have included numerous community banks, private lenders, private equity funds, contractors, medical professionals, and tactical weapon suppliers. He is licensed to practice in all State Courts in the State of Florida as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Prior to helping found Ellison Lazenby, Mr. Lazenby was a partner at Englander Fischer.

Mr. Lazenby was born in Fort Lawn, South Carolina. He attended The University of South Carolina , earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing, and The Florida State University College of Law earning a Juris Doctor degree. During his time at Florida State Law , Mr. Lazenby was a member of the Business Review, the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, and the Order of the Coif, a recipient of the Guyte P. McCord Memorial Scholarship, a recipient of the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award, and earned numerous book awards. After graduation from law school, Mr. Lazenby clerked for the Honorable Mark A. Pizzo, Magistrate Judge for the Middle District of Florida, and then joined Gray Robinson as an associate in the litigation and creditor's rights practice.

He is an active member of the Northeast Exchange Club of St. Petersburg, the Old Salts Fishing Foundation, and the First Team, a group of young professionals who provide support and fund raise for the Children's Dream Fund. Outside of the office, Gill enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, Ashlyn and son, Benson. He is an avid sports fan and his hobbies include fishing, boating, trivia, and golf.
